Jane May Blogs - And The Single Most Useful Post I’ve Found
Internet MarketingIf you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
With just a little digging into the wisdom of some of the established achievers out there, by way of comment questions and emails as well as surfing through posts, you will begin to get the idea that if you’re just starting out and looking for some kind of quick money, you’re probably going to need to affiliate with someone, and, get adsense.
As long term monetization strategies these two are solid and proven and pretty much utilized by successful bloggers everywhere. But they do depend, as with all of the selling that is done online, on traffic.
And if your platform is a blog, traffic is not going to appear overnight - accept that as a fact. But the answer to the original quest…get some net profit coming in…is found in the niche.
There are of course entire courses, books and an abundance of gurus to guide you into a niche marketing strategy that will take a good amount of your precious time and probably some of your money to get the hang of.
Or…you could read Jane May’s post “Profit From a Niche Right Now - A Step By Step Guide”
One reason I’m calling this the single most useful post I’ve found to date is, well, here’s how Jane put it herself:
“I have not seen this money making method exposed on other blogs and you’d probably have to buy one of those $197 get rich quick scam ebooks to get an idea like this, so take advantage of it and find a creative way to implement it.”
I haven’t seen this idea exposed like this elsewhere either. Certainly not as clearly and succinctly written as Jane has done it on her site - Jane May Blogs.com
I wont go into all the details of the “how to” here because I couldn’t do it any better than she did. But the essence of the concept is finding a hot subject, which is as easy as surfing over to a site like Technorati, looking at the top searches list…it’s right there near the top of the home page…and picking an obviously hot subject.
Then use any of the readily available free keyword tools out there to develop some keyword-rich content to build a page/site around…this is not difficult for even a beginner with a little bit of self-study, and then monetizing the site with adsense and a couple of relevant affiliate offerings.
For a deeper look at the details I highly recommend cruising to Jane’s site, and while you’re there settle in and and spend some time learning something useful about blogging, web sites and making money on the net.
There’s a reason Jane gets to guest post on John Chow’s site, that’s where I found her and I wish I had done so much earlier in the developmental stage of my blog life than I did. Go see for yourself, and in the near future look for a review of this site on her blog, if she’ll agree to do it, it will be money well spent for me. ![]()

Thanks for the mention Tom! I’m glad that you were able to get something from my blog to give you creative ideas. There is so much opportunity on the net, it’s just having that outside the box mentality that will help you succeed.
Best of luck!
Thanks for the encouragement Jane, that, along with all the great info on your site is keeping me going!
[…] The subjects are nicely ordered to flow through the natural sequence one should follow to get started in the process. And, in what I consider a specialty of Jane’s, she finishes with a very clear real world example of how to put the theory into practice. Elsewhere on this blog I’ve posted on how Jane, more than most successful pro bloggers, so effectively delivers the step-by-step process to getting to that first payday (see Jane May Blogs…). […]
