Shameless link-groveling blog review post number one. Actually I had originally intended to work my list of blogs to review from the other end first, in other words work my way up to the one and only evil blogger himself. However as I got into bed and turned on the laptop, and then of course endured the usual snickering from my beloved, something about “…jeez blogging again,” I stopped to think about what the hell ever got me started in this adventure anyway?

Here’s the answer: I clicked on a google ad from some guy named John Chow, whose blog is all about how to make money online with a blog! Simple enough I thought, I’ll check it out. Within minutes of landing on the site I had downloaded his free ebook, Make Money Online with John Chow dot com. Get it now…not optional, this is required reading if you even think you’re headed in this direction.

As for the site itself, let’s just say you’ll subscribe to the feed pretty quicky too because you’ll notice that not only does there seem to be so much actual useful info on the title subject, the site, like the ebook, is written in such a…what’s the word…evil style that you can’t help but come back for more sooner rather than later. So you subscribe to the feed and everyday as you check your reader you notice just how prolific Mr. Chow is in his postings and how most of it is so direct and to the point that you can actually begin to see yourself doing this too.

I suppose at $400 a pop for a site review it’s not easy for him to turn down many reviews so some of the site review postings can seem, at first anyway, to be a little irrelevant if the reviewed site’s subject is no where near your own…the recent AutoConcourse review for example. But even then he did manage to get in a few pointers about monetization that apply accross the board to anyone trying to make money online with a blog.

Of course one other neat little offering available on JohnChowdotcom is the very point of this post. If you use your blog to review his blog, you’ll earn a link back from him that should earn you lots of SEO power and traffic.

Well…now that I’m about finished I think it was worth it to review JohnChowdotcom first….and here’s why. One thing I am serious about is my desire to provide something useful to my readers in every post and, with the Journal in general. Among the most useful things I can do for any reader of mine is, if they haven’t found it already, make sure they get to JohnChowdotcom. If you’re in the sphere to make money, you gotta go there sooner or later…evil as it may seem, that - is just the way it is.
